Grann (Vintage) 2009 In Grann's book, he talks of "strange papers"
found amongst Fawcett's collection, as found by son Brian. Grann writes that in
the year prior to what would be his final expedition, Col. Fawcett "filled
his papers with reams of delirious writings about the end of the world and
about a mystical Atlantean kingdom, which resembled the Garden of Eden. Z was
transformed into the 'cradle of all civilizations' and the center of one of
Blavatsky's 'White Lodges,' where a group of higher spiritual beings helped to
direct the fate of the universe."

He had many guests come and go. The Catholic nationalists sent by his Russian friend, Madame Helena Blavatsky, the Irish revolutionaries, priests, et cetera would always visit him. The extremely mysterious Madame Blavatsky was the founder of the Theosophy Society, which was a supra-religion organization.

As Annette Cobb -- likely Annette Amelia Storer Cobb, the daughter of John Storer Cobb, FTS and attorney (and possibly de Palm's attorney) -- was out of the country at the time the will was proved (1878), William Quan Judge attested to Annette's signature on the will. And, at that time, HP Blavatsky attested to Baron de Palm’s signature. All in all, a completely Theosophical affair.
